Personal History
There are myriads of ways to write a bio. I have yet to find a dialogue with that "just-so" quality of rhythm and flow for my story. In any case, here are the basics about me.
As a child, I was given the opportunity to attend art classes, violin lessons, go on nature excursions, and work along side my parents on creative building projects; all of which continually influence my work and creative process.
Through out college I studied intaglio and lithography, spot and hanged art shows and dabbled in public relations for galleries and Museums, and tutored students in Architecture and Art History.
Currently, I live and manage a meditation retreat with extensive heirloom gardens called the Numian Institute.
Many synchronicities, unique and strange events happen to me. Many opportunities seemingly fall in my lap. I often encounter special people with incredible talents. I ask myself: Why do these things happen? Daily, the answers unfold.
I pay careful attention and behave judiciously when working and learning about esoteric levels of consciousness. I found it best not to lose my rational self, rather temper it with curiosity. Establishing an algorithm to my various projects and relationships helps me gain a broader perspective. Frequently, an event, objects, or a being turns my hypothesis into last week’s news and for that I am, at best, amused and challenged.
Being an artist is a beneficial vocation for me. Creating art gives me the opportunity to integrate the phenomenal and numinous aspects of reality with the stories of the people I am close to and my own mental abstractions. To myself, I vow to create the best art possible by my own skill and dedicated attention.
